FexiLink Service

What is the FlexiLink service?

TransLink, in partnership with Black & White Cabs, has introduced the FlexiLink service to make it easier for less-mobile passengers to travel between Prince Charles Hospital and Westfield Shopping Centre.

At Westfield Chermside bus station, passengers can transfer bewtween 18 other TransLink Services
The FlexiLink Service uses a Maxi Cab provided by Black & White Cabs to drop passengers closer to their final destination inside the hospital grounds. The vehicle is air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible and with the front painted black to distinguish it from other maxi cabs.  FlexiLink
How often does it operate?

FlexiLink services operate every 30 minutes, Monday to Friday. The first service leaves Westfield Chermside at 8.25am and the last service departs Prince Charles Hospital at 5.10pm.

The full timetable is available in the FlexiLink Chermside Information (PDF, 545KB) document.

How much does it cost?

Passengers with a TransLink ticket valid for travel in zone 3 can use the Chermside FlexiLink Service for no additional cost. So now you can travel to Westfield Chermside by bus and transfer onto the FlexiLink service for free!

Passengers without a valid TransLink ticket pay the FlexiLink driver a FlatFare of $2.30 each way (no concessions).

Please note:
Tickets purchased from FlexiLink drivers are not valid for travel on other TransLink services. Also, operator specific tickets, such as ten trip savers and QR season tickets, are not valid for travel on FelxiLink services - only TransLink single, daily, off-peak daily, weekly and monthly tickets valid for travel in zone 3 will be accepted.
Where do I catch it from?

Passengers can catch the service from dedicated FlexiLink stops - look out for the FlexiLink signs at Westfield Chermside, Prince Charles Hospital and Holy Spirit Northside Hospital.

A route map is available in the FlexiLink Chermside Information (PDF, 545KB) document.

The Chermside FlexiLink service also operates as a hail n' ride, which means passengers can access the service anywhere along the route where it is safe for the driver to stop. To hail the service, passengers should be in a position on the footpath where they can be clearly seen by the driver and wave their arm as the FlexiLink vehicle approaches.
