| FOR DRIVERS - Sexual Harassment and Human Rights (Form F6803) |

All Group drivers should be aware of the ramifications of Sexual Harassment and Human Rights allegations. Listed below are some points to be particularly aware of. Black & White Cabs suggest that all drivers keep a Daily Diary and should any incident occur, regardless of how trivial or innocent it may seem, make a detailed notation. |

THREATS |
Do not verbally threaten a Group child, regardless of how badly they misbehave. Should you need to correct a Group child, note it in your diary and inform the Teacher or Parent why this was necessary. Never physically chastise a Group child, ie. smack, push etc. A Group child can also feel threatened by the manner in how they are spoken to. Don't speak down to a child. Standing or leaning too close while you are speaking to them can also make a child feel intimidated. |
| HANDLING |
We are aware that some Group children need to be physically assisted. It could occur that you may accidentally touch a Group child in such a way as to cause them to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. Any of these incidents should be noted in your diary and someone of authority informed such as a Teacher or Group Supervisor. |
| LITERATURE | It is advisable not to carry questionable books and magazines in your car where they can be seen by the Group child. Some Teachers and Parents have observed these articles and questioned the motives of the driver. |
| COMMUNICATION |
It is advisable when speaking to the Group child you use their given name and not terms of endearment. These Group children are taught to try to differentiate as to who is and who is not their friend. Example: being a stranger and not knowing their given name would use a name like love, sweety etc. and it is best if you are not associated with the Group child by this manner. This can also be interpreted as Sexual Harassment. Those Drivers who may only do the occasional Group should be particularly aware of this and make sure they use the Group child's first name. |
| SUMMARY | The general public is becoming more aware of Human Rights and protection against Sexual Harassment, so it is of great concern to Black & White Cabs that we in the Taxi industry take the necessary precautions against any seemingly innocent mannerisms which may occur. |
