Jun/Jul 2005 - Alarm Testing Random alarm testing is being conducted on a regular basis and it is vital that all drivers are aware of the activation procedures. If you have any doubts on how the system works, please talk to your operator or contact the Driver Safety Officer, Doug Prentice, on 3860 1803. When called by the query operator, any driver who clearly lacks the fundamental knowledge will be immediately suspended until re-training has been completed In addition, it is also vital that drivers conduct the self test on a regular basis. When an actual alarm situation is ongoing, fleet messages are sent requesting assistance. If you are unable to assist, please stay off query until you are advised that the situation has been resolved. It is imperative that the query operator is able to act quickly, without unnecessary interference, to assist the driver at risk. |
