Recently Easts Leagues Club was named as Best Football Club at the Clubs Queensland Awards Night. This award was in recognition of the outstanding year enjoyed by the club in 2004. Club President, Graham Anderson accepted the award and paid tribute to the hard work of all in the club to make the honour possible. Easts Leagues Club also picked up the award for Best Club in the Brisbane area. Well done to Manager Sharna McLean and her team.

Team Captain and football club CEO Darren Smith, is showing that age is not a barrier to playing great football with his regular call-ups for the Broncos. Despite the light hearted jibes about being 36, Darren is playing vintage football and contributing to the current success of the Broncos in the NRL competition and for Easts who are lying second in the Queensland Cup competition.
