Taxi Driver of the Year

Black & White Cabs' own Wayne Hawthorne was named "Qld Taxi Industry Driver of the Year" at the Taxi Industry Awards Dinner at Twin Waters Resort following the State Conference on the Sunshine Coast in September. Wayne's wife, Glenda, and his father-in-law Noel Andrews were on hand to share the moment.

Wayne was nominated by the company because of his exemplary history with Black & White Cabs over the last eight years. Wayne always looks the part as a professional taxi driver with immaculate uniform and clean, well presented vehicle.  He has a good knowledge of the taxi industry and the taxi district in which he operates and has assisted many other drivers in improving their skills.

Wayne is a wonderful ambassador for himself, his operator, Black & White Cabs and the taxi industry in general. This recognition by the industry in naming him Taxi Driver of the Year is well deserved and we all congratulate him. Well done Wayne.
