Manjit Boparai commenced driving cabs with Black & White nine years ago, progressed to leasing a cab and then owning it.  During the quiet hours Manjit dreamed of creating music,  firstly for himself and then for all those close to him and now for Australia.

Manjit has created 'Song Australia' - a song written and sung with passion about his home,  Australia. 

Faraway Productions, a local production company picked up on Manjit's passion and has spent the last two years following him around as his music career has taken off.  Axel Grigor from Faraway says they were excited by the passion Manjit had for his music and for Australia and wanted to capture it on film.  This was realised with the production of a documentary , 'Fair Dinkum Manjit' that was shown on SBS Television in early June.  'Song Australia' 'will be launched nationally on all of the music programs such as Rage and MTV.
